Top Places to Pop the Question That Will Guarantee Your Significant Other Will Say Yes

Capturing a proposal can be as picturesque as your actual wedding day. Picking out the perfect location is a vital component to winning your bride to be’s heart. It’s all about location but also keep in mind your proposal should reflect the qualities that represent you as a couple.  New Jersey truly has a little bit of everything and is filled with beautiful locations ranging from our pristine beaches, boardwalks, hiking spots, or rooftop bars.

Rooftop Bars

Outdoor locations are all the rage considering our current pandemic situation. This means that most restaurants are keeping their outdoor locations, especially rooftop bars open for the duration of the year. What could be better than a proposal with the NYC skyline as the backdrop.  Some popular destination towns are Hoboken, Edgewater, Weehawken, or Jersey City. If you and your significant other prefer the beach, there are plenty of rooftops all along the jersey shore with a fantastic sunset view over the ocean. As the weather starts to change, heated igloos have been making appearances on rooftops! Cozying up in one can be a unique way to ask and a great photo op

Lighthouses

We are truly lucky to be on the coastline which provides us with some of the most iconic and picturesque lighthouses along the east coast. These incredible views make for a truly beautiful backdrop for your special moment. “Old Barney” in Barnegat Light, Long Beach Island is a must see spot that is right in the Barnegat inlet and a beautiful sight during a sunset. If you’re from Monmouth County the Sandy Hook Lighthouse sits right on the historic grounds of Fort Hancock which holds so much rich history with panoramic views of NYC on a clear day!

Drive-in Movie Theaters

Talk about old school romance! Drive-in movie theaters are making a serious comeback. Be the first to hop on this trend before it takes off!

The Beach

There are no shortages of beaches throughout NJ’s 130 miles of coastline, you have plenty of options to choose from. Adding the perfect decorations, flowers, and hiring a secret photographer will seal the deal and make it a day your significant other will never forget.

Ice Skating Rinks

Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about Winter lovers! Ice skating is not only a fun date, but a great way to propose (If you don’t fall while asking!) There are plenty of ice skating rinks fully outside to take advantage of as well!

Hot Air Balloon Ride

If you’re looking for a more adventurous approach you can’t get any more creative then a ride across the sky in a hot air balloon!  NJ is notorious for its hot air balloon festivals annually making this fun activity very accessible in the area. “Wow” your significant other with this jaw dropping proposal while you 2 are 500-1000 feet in the air! These trips typically last around 1 hour and can be found all across NJ.

Wineries

The quickest way to someone’s heart is through some food, alcohol, and a trendy backdrop! Wineries have a built in aesthetic that will have your significant other heart eyed from the moment they walk in. Grab a blanket, your favorite wine, of course the ring, to gear up for a moment they won’t forget. And let’s be real, the round of applause from fellow wine drinkers won’t hurt the atmosphere!

Ferris Wheels

One of the best parts of being from NJ is our boardwalks. If you are your significant other love rides, arcade games, and the fun of a boardwalk, a Ferris Wheel proposal is a great option. This kind of proposal is a great mix of fun, romantic, and a day she won’t forget. Our recommendation is the Ferris Wheel is Wildwood NJ! It’s one of the biggest on the east coast and you have the option to enjoy “breakfast in the sky” on your ride  if you book your reservation far enough in advance.
