Fall in Love with Weddings

With Valentine’s Day being last week, we were in awe with all of the love that we saw demonstrated everywhere. It just reminded us how everyone has their own love story, their own person, their own forever. Whether you celebrated Valentine’s Day with your sweetheart or celebrated Galentine’s with your besties (like me!), we hope it was great!

With love still fresh in the air, we wanted to take a look back to last year at some of our couple’s fall weddings.. because believe it or not, fall will be here soon, and if you’re getting married in the fall, this is probably the blog that you want to save to your favorites to reference back to!

Fall Colors

Now, there is no rule that says you have to have certain colors during certain times of year, but we want to give you some inspiration while you try and decide on what you want your color theme to be. For fall, you can go with very neutral tones like creams, champagnes, soft pinks, or you can do bolder ones like wine, burgundy, golds, and yellows.

Here is what some of our brides did:

Jaalah got married on September 14th, 2018 at the Grand Marquis. She decided to go with subtle tones and gold accents. Her bridal bouquet was made up of cream roses tipped with gold, gold berries, and white hydrangea wrapped in a holder. Her groom Daquan’s boutonniere mirrored her bridal bouquet, consisting of a cream rose tipped in gold, greens and ribbon. For the bridal party, the Maid of Honor carried a cream rose tipped in gold bouquet, with greens and baby’s breath. Creams and golds played a big part in this wedding, and we love it!

Brenna got married on September 23rd, 2018 at Doolan’s Shore Club. Brenna also chose to go with creams, but added burgundy as her pop of color. Her bridal bouquet was made up of cream roses, cream hydrangea, and burgundy celosia wrapped in ivory ribbon. Her bridesmaids had round small bouquets with cream roses and cream hydrangea, wrapped in a wine colored ribbon to match their dresses. The groom was adorned in a cream rose boutonniere with burgundy celosia. Cream and burgundy? We definitely approve.

How About Your Ceremony & Reception?

One of my favorite things about fall is that the weather is still nice enough to have an outdoor wedding. That’s probably my dream wedding–in the fall, outdoors, not too hot or cold. Are you picturing it now? If you are, let’s add another element in your mind’s eye…

Yep. This is it. A perfect fall day, outdoors, with a rustic and elegant French Doors arch (or Roman Column arch, or circle arch.. the list goes on!). The cream colors continue, as this French Doors arch is elegantly decorated by our in-house florists.. who are also the owners of NJ Wedding Pros! There is so much you can do to decorate your fall themed wedding, whether with flower swag on your arch or arbor, white or orange pumpkins, reds, burgundys, yellows, oranges.. what does your heart desire?

You also can’t forget about the centerpieces! We can make any arrangement match your theme!

Let's Recap!

Fall wedding colors can be whatever you want them to be, but typically, creams, golds, burgundys and reds are very popular for that time of year. We love the color combination, and think that any dark color against cream will definitely pop and make a statement. When I think of fall colors, I do think of oranges, yellows, reds, burgundys and so on.. but this is your day, and your vision. Colors not only go into flowers, but also your bridal party’s attire, centerpieces, and even photography.

Don’t forget that there is so much you can do with your wedding decor, especially if you luck out with a beautiful day. An outdoor fall wedding is honestly my dream, and it probably is yours too if you’re reading this blog right now. Whether you want an arch or arbor, a trail of lanterns or rose petals, or flower baskets on pedestals, we know your day will be beautiful because it’s yours.
