Wedding Highlights: Katie & Greg 9/8/18

We first introduced Katie and Greg in our She Said Yes Proposal Series. Greg proposed to Katie on a whim while in Tokyo Disney. He didn’t even have a ring! We love the spontaneity of that story and how one decision can change your life forever in the best way possible! I think we can all take a lesson from Greg and just go for it!

Katie and Greg got married on September 8th, 2018. Their ceremony and reception were held at the Camden Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey! The services we provided were Personal and Ceremony Flowers, Centerpieces, Photography, Hair & Make-Up, Day of Coordination, and Transportation.

To be very honest with you, this was the first time I (Lisa) had heard of anyone getting married at an aquarium, and I was very intrigued. To my surprise, the Camden Aquarium (and I am sure many others) actually offer wedding packages and have rooms specifically for the occasion. This is such a fun venue, and we absolutely loved it!

To start off, here’s a shot from Katie and Greg’s engagement photo shoot, where they got to work with the photographer who was going to be taking photos on their wedding day. What an awesome way to get acquainted with your vendors before the big day, right? Engagement photos are so special to have, especially for Save the Dates!

The morning of your wedding day is probably going to be filled with so many emotions, but remember to make sure to have some time for yourself. What do you think was going through Katie’s head at this point? How do you think you’d be feeling? BTW, shout out to our amazing stylists who did Katie’s hair and makeup!

Katie’s bridal bouquet was cascading with green hydrangea, burgundy mums, mini carnations, and eucalyptus wrapped with white ribbon and crystal pins. This bouquet is very fall-inspired, between the colors and flower choices! Greg’s boutonniere was made to match, made up of a burgundy mini carnation with eucalyptus.

And yes, those are real-life sharks behind them! There is a shark tube at the aquarium that is just perfect for photos. I can’t stop looking at these pictures!

This beautiful customized white aisle runner led the way for Katie and Greg during their ceremony. At the end, you can see the flower arrangements atop of the white pedestals, made of burgundy flowers and greens. These baskets were later used as decor for Katie and Greg’s sweetheart table. There are so many different ways to reuse decor throughout the evening!

At your wedding reception, you will usually have some kind of guest book to sign in. Katie and Greg chose to have their guests sign a world map! Isn’t this such a pretty welcome table? We love the addition of the rose petals and arrangements.

We decorated the guest tables with tall centerpieces made out of green hydrangea, burgundy mini carnations, gerbera daisies, mums, eucalyptus and hanging burgundy amaranthus with water, river rocks and a clear LED light on the bottom.

Guests were enclosed in a room full of glass tanks and the beauty of the ocean. What an absolutely amazing backdrop! To top it all off, they even got to interact and play with a penguin during the reception during what was known as Penguin Talk! Our hearts! 🐧

If you’re still in the process of looking for a wedding venue, you should consider a fun, unique venue like the aquarium. We are sure your guests will be talking about it for ages! Where else will you be able to mingle with a penguin at a party?!

We love the monogram light just above Katie and Greg’s sweetheart table. There is honestly so much work that goes into weddings.. preparation, planning, setting everything up the day of.. and it’s always so rewarding and so worth it. This photo was taken early on in the day, as you can see there are no chairs at the guest tables. It’s so interesting and fun to be able to be a part of all of the behind the scenes work!

We were so thrilled to be a part of this very special wedding! Katie and Greg were an absolute pleasure to work with, and we had so much fun. Thank you for saying “I DO” to us, too! We wish you love and happiness always!

Wedding Highlights: Brittany & Dave 8/26/18

Think of yourself as a child. Who were you friends with? Are you still friends with some of those people now? Sometimes, we get lucky and have a friendship that lasts over 10 years. Maybe you started out as little ballerinas wearing tutus and tiaras in dancing school, and now you’re both wearing wedding dresses and veils. How amazing is it to be able to have someone there with you through all of the special stages of your life?

Well, that’s the case for our very own co-owner, Karissa Petrellese! We were able to help coordinate and plan one of Karissa’s very good childhood friend’s wedding days, and we couldn’t have been more excited to be a part of her BIG day!

Brittany and Dave got married on August 26th, 2018. Their ceremony and reception were held at the Shadowbrook in Shrewsbury, NJ, an elegant estate.

The services that we provided for Brittany and Dave were Flowers, an Aisle Runner, Ceremony Decor, Centerpieces, Bridal Shoes, and a Butterfly Release!

Brittany’s bridal bouquet was freeform with soft pink lillies, dark blue delphinium, blush pink roses, blush pink garden roses, a few baby pink spray roses, white snapdragons, light pink alstromeria, baby’s breath, ruscus and seeded eucalyptus with greens cascading and wrapped with Brittany’s mom’s lace. Her maid of honor and bridesmaids had similar bouquets, just a little smaller in size. We love this color combination!

Brittany and Dave’s wedding ceremony was held outside on an absolutely gorgeous day. The aisle was lined with lanterns and a beautiful custom burlap aisle runner sprinkled with rose petals. Take a look at this picture perfect ceremony scene…

butterfly release is an extremely beautiful moment to have after the couple has been announced as newlyweds, and is a service we love being able to offer to our couples. Butterflies symbolize a new life, and new beginnings. We love watching the butterflies fly out of their box and out into the open air, above the guests; sometimes, they even land on flowers, which make for the perfect photo op! Don’t worry, those little guys are safe and sound in their release box until they are set free into the air. We make sure of it!

Butterfly Release

Every bride needs a pair of perfect shoes for her wedding day. We promise, these Angela Nuran shoes are the best you’re going to find. With comfort and style (just look at this bling!), they help you float down the aisle! Brittany had her Starletta shoes customized with an antique brooch, cruzada strap, solid glitz, and dyed ballet pink!

For reception centerpieces, Brittany had mason jars, tree bark, lace and lanterns. We added baby’s breath with delphinium to some, while other tables had hydrangea, and the rest of the tables had pink lillies and delphinium. We added white lace around the tree bark with 4 votive candles. Don’t think a centerpiece just has to be one arrangement. There are sooo many different elements that you can include in your centerpieces.

Do you want to hear a little trick? You can always use your bridesmaid’s bouquets as extra centerpieces if necessary! After the ceremony and photos, your girls probably won’t need their bouquets for the rest of the day. Put them in vases and use them as centerpieces for your welcome table, a guest table.. anywhere you desire!

Don’t forget about your own table when taking into account all of the guests at your reception! Traditionally, the newlyweds sit at a special table called the Sweetheart Table. This table is an easy way to spot the newlyweds and showcase them.

You already know what we are going to say. OBSESSED! We love love these gorgeous King and Queen chairs that Brittany and Dave chose for their Sweetheart Table, along with their flower swag, candles, and other gorgeous decor.

Truly fit for a King and Queen!

There were so many beautiful parts of this wedding which we will continue to share on our social media platforms, so make sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook!

Brittany and Dave, thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding day! We wish you nothing but love and happiness on this journey through life together! <3

Wedding Highlights: Valeria and Jhonatan 9/2/18

According to The Knot, September is one of the most popular months for weddings! You still have the slight warmth of summer mixed with the crisp feeling that fall is soon to arrive. There are many different factors that couples consider when choosing their wedding date, but it seems like many agree that September is the perfect month. But honestly, any month is perfect when you’re planning one of the best days of your life!

Valeria and Jhonatan tied the knot on September 2nd at the Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank. This is a gorgeous venue where you can have both your ceremony and reception.

The services we provided were our Wedding Planning Prep Package, Personal and Ceremony Flowers, Centerpieces, and an Officiant.

As soon as our couple booked, we were with them each step of the way. We are one of the only wedding companies that offer a Wedding Day Prep Package, allowing us (and you!) to keep on track of every single detail of the day, from morning until night. We know–trust us–how hectic and stressful wedding planning can be. If you feel like you want a little extra help and peace of mind, you should consider a planning package.

With detailed itineraries, vendor coordination, and two hours of coverage the day of your wedding, you can’t go wrong to have a few extra helping hands to make your wedding day a dream come true. We have different Planning Packages available for your needs!

Valeria’s bridal bouquet was made up of blue hydrangeas, white lisianthus, white freesia, and light blue delphinium hand tied with white ribbon and crystals. Jhonatan’s boutonniere was made of a cream rose and light blue delphinium to match.

As shown in the photo above, Valeria’s bridesmaids’ bouquets were made out of cream roses with a touch of light blue delphinium. Typically, your bridesmaids bouquets will match your bridal bouquet, but will be a bit smaller and contain less types of flowers.

How gorgeous do the cream roses look against that blue bridesmaid dress?

The reception centerpieces were made out of blue hydrangea and white roses in a glass cylinder and were placed on each guest table, along with the welcome table.

Oh snap! It’s so common for couples to come up with fun hashtags for their wedding day, so when guests post photos on social media, the couples can see them all in one place after the wedding. You can place hashtag card signs on guest tables, or have larger ones around the reception room. Such a great idea!

Along with the flower centerpiece, our couple had votives and rose petals sprinkled on the table. Those little details can really mean so much!

Valeria and Jhonatan had a guest book and seating cards on their welcome table, along with favors, personalized mints! Many couples decide to put their favors on their welcome table, or have them already set on guest tables. The candle holder and candles are a simple but effective piece of decor on this table, as well as the flowers and sign.

I’m telling you, sweetheart tables make me so happy. I love seeing all of the different styles that couples come up with. Let’s not forget the fact that the two people sitting at that table just got MARRIED! Woah. That’s a lot to take in.

Valeria and Jhonathan went with super sweet and elegant sweetheart table decor. The flowers baskets on the bottom were also used for their ceremony; we love when decor can serve a multipurpose, which is another helpful hint to keep in mind.

Valeria says, “I highly recommend NJ Wedding Pros! They are professional, reliable and make your event stress free. Karissa is wonderful to work with and has a great personality. Utilizing their services was the best decision we made. Thank you again!”

We loved being a part of this beautiful wedding! Thank you Valeria and Jhonathan for “SAYING YES” to NJ Wedding Pros! We wish you love and happiness on this journey through life together!

Wedding Highlights: Jaclyn & Dom 8/11/18

Another wedding season is slowly coming to a close, but we still have many beautiful love stories to share with everyone from this year! This summer was full of so many gorgeous weddings that we were so happy to be a part of, including Jaclyn & Dom’s.

This couple is actually a friend of our awesome employee Jessica, so it was really cool to be able to help out someone that we know from our personal lives, and let our professional side come into play to make their wedding a dream come true.

On August 11th, 2018, Jaclyn and Dom made their lifelong commitment to one another in the presence of family and friends. Their ceremony and reception were both held at The Channel Club in Monmouth Beach, NJ, a very popular wedding venue in NJ.

The services that we were able to provide Jaclyn and Dom were our Wedding Day Planning Prep Package, Flowers, Ceremony, Cocktail and Reception Decor (Flowers/Centerpieces/Etc.), an Officiant (we promise we are almost done.. and yes we offer ALL of these services and so many more!), Pianist, String Trio, Photo Booth, a Butterfly Release, Transportation, and Hair!

Jaclyn’s bridal bouquet was rounded with all blush roses wrapped with off white and gold ribbon, while Dom’s boutonniere was a white rose tipped in gold and greens sprayed gold with stems showing. When you choose your flowers, while it might be difficult to decide, ultimately remember what feel you want your whole day to have. You might have a certain theme, or just a color scheme, and we can work with you to suggest flowers that fit your unique style. Pinterestis also your BFF when it comes to this!

Sometimes, it’s tricky to plan an outdoor wedding, because Mother Nature might have other plans! While Jaclyn and Dom’s ceremony was supposed to be outside, it had to be moved inside due to the weather, but a little rain didn’t matter as their ceremony was still picture perfect. We decorated their arch with blush, white and gold flowers with tulle draped on the top and sides. The details of the day flowed seamlessly to create the perfect look that the couple wanted. Take a look!

Our couple had both high and low centerpieces for their cocktail hour and reception, which we designed as well. What kind of centerpieces do you prefer?! We have mixed votes here at NJWP, because both are gorgeous, and as always, it depends on the type of ambiance you want to create. High centerpieces are very elegant and dramatic, while low centerpieces still make a bold statement. Tough decision!

This low centerpiece is made of white hydrangea, blush roses and greens sprayed gold.

Aside from all of the gorgeous decor, guests were treated to the soothing sounds of live music thanks to a pianist and awesome string trio! These guys and gals know how to rock. Again, the type of entertainment you have at your wedding is a matter of preference. You can have just a DJ, you can have a DJ and some live music… no matter what you choose, we know you and your guests will have a fabulous time!

Another fun element to any wedding or event is a photo booth! Our photo booth experience is completely customizeable. Jaclyn and Dom went with an enclosed inflatable LED booth instead of the very popular open air one. We love both!

photo booth montage

Have you ever thought about having fresh flowers on your cake? If you haven’t before, you should now. An addition of fresh flowers as decor on your wedding cake are absolutely beautiful. Just take a look at Jackie & Dom’s gorgeous cake…

We. Are. Obsessed!

We added blush roses for a pop of color and cream hydrangea. <3

Last but definitely not least, signature drinks have become super popular at weddings. These are special drinks dedicated to the newlywed couple and is a fun way to start off cocktail hour! There are sooo many different combinations for signature drinks, but it all depends on what you like. Just have fun with it! What would be in your drink?

We love sharing the details of our couples’ weddings, and hope to inspire some of you for your own big day! Check back soon for more wedding highlights!

Jackie & Dom, thank you for choosing us to be a part of your big day! We wish you nothing but love and happiness on this journey together!
